SocialGallery — Privacy Policy
Effective October 12, 2026
SocialGallery is provided by Sky Azure Apps. Contact: pjake6763@gmail.com.
SCOPE AND PURCHASES
This policy covers the Android SocialGallery app. SocialGallery is offered as a one-time paid download through Google Play, not a subscription. All included app features are available after installation without an in-app paywall. Google Play processes checkout, payment methods, refunds and purchase records under its own terms and privacy policy. The app does not receive your payment-card details or integrate an in-app purchase or subscription SDK.
LOCAL MEDIA AND ACCESS
Photos and videos are read on your device according to Android access you grant. We do not upload your media, recognized photo text, profile or private notes to a developer server. This build has no account, ads, purchase SDK or cloud backend. Direct Internet and network-state permissions are removed. Your operating system, Google Play services, gallery synchronization and chosen external apps have their own data practices.
LOCAL STORAGE
Preferences, review decisions, favorites and private notes are stored in private local app storage. Your local profile includes your chosen name and a resized app-private copy of the profile photo. Replacing/removing that copy does not remove its original. Notes can be edited, pinned/unpinned and deleted. One note can be pinned per media item. Notes are included in on-device search; they are not public comments or messages.
PHOTO TEXT SEARCH
The bundled Google ML Kit recognizer processes supported Latin-script text on your device. Recognition can contain errors. Google states that input images and recognition output are not sent to its servers by ML Kit. Google also documents SDK performance/utilization metrics and possible model or compatibility updates. These metrics can include device model/OS, app package/version, per-installation identifiers, processing latency, input/output sizes, API configuration and error/event codes for diagnostics and usage analytics. Removing this app's Internet permission does not guarantee that Google Play services or the operating system make no network communications. Google controls its metrics retention and processing under its own policies. Google's SDK practices: https://developers.google.com/ml-kit/terms . Data disclosure details: https://developers.google.com/ml-kit/android-data-disclosure . Enabling photo text search starts local recognition and caches extracted words. Disabling it stops recognition and stops searching the cache. Settings > Clear app caches removes recognized text and cached thumbnails, and disables photo text search. Filenames and private notes remain searchable without OCR.
COPYING AND SHARING
Copy text and Copy details place only the text you explicitly choose on Android's clipboard. Other apps and Android clipboard features may access it under the system's rules; avoid copying sensitive text on shared devices. Share original sends the selected original media through Android's share sheet, not private notes or your profile. Receiving apps have their own privacy practices. Opening the share sheet is not confirmation that anything was delivered.
REVIEW AND TRASH
Marking for removal only queues a reference. Trashing requires your Review action and Android confirmation. Android and your gallery provider control trash retention and cloud synchronization; we cannot guarantee cloud copies remain untouched. Selected file sizes do not guarantee recovered storage space. Reset review choices clears only local decisions, not media, notes or favorites.
USER-CONTROLLED BACKUP
You may export a readable, unencrypted JSON file with favorite references, notes linked to accessible media (including pins/edit markers), profile name and disclosed settings. Original media, profile picture, OCR cache, permissions and review choices are not included. Anyone with the file can read it. Android's document picker may offer cloud providers, governed by their own practices; this app does not upload to its own server. Restore validates the file and requires confirmation. It merges matching records without deleting existing notes/favorites. Existing edited notes and pins take priority. Changed or unavailable media references are skipped; it is not a cross-phone media migration. Disclosed settings are replaced. Retrying the same backup does not intentionally duplicate matching records. You control exported-file retention/deletion.
CONTROL AND RETENTION
Change or revoke media access in Android Settings. Local data is retained until you remove it, clear app storage or uninstall. Automatic cloud backup/device transfer of app data are excluded by this build. Uninstalling does not delete original media, exported backup files or provider-managed trash. No advertising identifier or developer analytics SDK is included. Changes to integrations or data practices require updated disclosures. Contact the email above with privacy questions.
SUPPORT, SECURITY AND YOUR RIGHTS
If you email us, we receive your email address and information you voluntarily send, including attachments. Do not send private media unless necessary. We use support correspondence to answer your request, resolve problems and meet applicable obligations, not for advertising. Our email provider also processes correspondence under its own terms. We retain it only as needed for those purposes and applicable recordkeeping requirements. Request access, correction or deletion at pjake6763@gmail.com; rights and lawful exceptions depend on your location. We cannot access or remotely delete your on-device library, so use the local controls above. Exported backup files are not encrypted by this app; keep them in a safe location. No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.
CHILDREN AND POLICY UPDATES
SocialGallery is a general-purpose personal gallery, not a service directed specifically at children, and has no public profiles or messaging. A parent or guardian should supervise a child's use and contact us about any personal information a child sends to support. Applicable local age and parental-consent rules still apply. We will update this policy and its effective date when practices change. Material changes will be disclosed as required by applicable law.
