Privacy Policy — Wuxia Vault

1. Summary

Wuxia Vault is an Android customization app for wallpapers, stickers, GIFs, clocks, wallpaper switchers, home-screen widgets, and optional system sounds. You can optionally purchase a one-time lifetime unlock (“Inner Vault”). We do not require a Wuxia Vault account, run ads, or sell personal information.

2. Information we process

2.1 Information stored on your device

The App stores preferences locally on your device, including:

Favorite wallpaper selections
Auto-change / playlist settings and intervals
Display preferences such as reduce-motion
A local, install-scoped cache of verified lifetime access
Recent wallpaper apply history used for undo
Your selected widget settings
Temporary caches of downloaded artwork, GIFs, stickers, and sound previews

These items remain on your device. If Android Backup or device transfer is enabled on your Google account, Android may include preferences in that backup. The billing-access cache is excluded from Android Backup and is reverified with Google Play and RevenueCat. Favorites are not synced through a Wuxia Vault account.

2.2 Purchase and entitlement information

If you buy Inner Vault, the purchase is processed by Google Play Billing. We use RevenueCat to validate purchases and manage Inner Vault access. RevenueCat and Google may process purchase history, purchase tokens, product identifiers, anonymous app user identifiers, limited device/app metadata needed for billing integrity, and entitlement or restore status.

We do not receive your full payment card details. Payments are handled by Google. Lifetime access follows your Google Play account and can be restored on a new device signed into the same account.

2.3 Information you send us

If you email support at pjake6763@gmail.com, we receive the content of your message and your email address so we can respond. We keep support correspondence only as long as needed to help you and maintain records of the issue.

2.4 Artwork, sticker, GIF, and sound delivery

Full-resolution wallpapers, stickers, GIFs, and sounds are delivered from our public Backblaze B2 storage. When the App requests an asset, Backblaze receives ordinary network information such as IP address, request date/time, and the requested file. We use this delivery only to provide App content, not for advertising profiles.

2.5 Optional media widgets

If you enable a media-control widget, Android asks you to grant Notification access. The App filters active notifications for media playback and processes the media title/source, playback state and progress, and available previous/play-pause/next controls. This information is displayed and processed only on your device. Wuxia Vault does not retain it after the active session ends, upload it, sell it, or use it for advertising or analytics. Notification access is optional and can be revoked at any time in Android Settings.

2.6 Saving media and applying system sounds

When you choose to save a wallpaper, sticker, or GIF, the App writes that selected file to Android shared media storage. On Android 9 and earlier, Android may request legacy storage permission for this action. The App does not browse or upload your existing photo, video, or audio library.

When you choose a ringtone or notification sound, the App downloads the selected WAV file, writes it to Android's Ringtones or Notifications collection, and opens Android's special system-setting access so you can allow the App to set that sound as the corresponding default. The App does not record audio or read your existing recordings. Files you save or install may remain on your device after uninstalling the App until you delete them through Android.

2.7 WhatsApp sticker packs

The App checks locally whether WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business is installed when you use the sticker-pack feature. It shares only the sticker pack you select with WhatsApp through Android's sticker-pack interface. The installed-app check and sticker selection are not uploaded by Wuxia Vault.

2.8 Website

This marketing and legal website is static and does not use advertising analytics. Its hosting provider may create standard server logs such as IP address, user agent, date/time, and requested URL. The site also loads Cormorant Garamond and Noto Sans from Google Fonts, so your browser contacts Google to retrieve those font files. We do not use these requests to build marketing profiles.

3. Permissions

Depending on Android version and features you use, the App may require:

Internet — to deliver App assets and sounds and contact Google Play / RevenueCat for purchase and restore
Set wallpaper — to apply artwork to home and/or lock screens
Boot completed — so scheduled auto-change can resume after reboot
Notification access — optionally display and control active media sessions in media widgets
Modify system settings — only after you choose to set a downloaded ringtone or notification sound
Legacy storage (Android 9 and earlier) — save media or sounds you explicitly select
Limited app visibility — check locally for WhatsApp / WhatsApp Business when adding a sticker pack

Browsing the catalog does not require a login. Some full-resolution assets are delivered over the Internet.

4. How we use information

To provide core App features (browse, apply, favorites, auto-change, undo)
To download content and save or install media you select
To process and restore lifetime purchases
To respond to support requests
To maintain security and prevent purchase fraud/abuse
To provide wallpaper switchers and optional media-widget controls you explicitly enable

5. Sharing

We share information only as needed to operate the App:

Google Play — billing and distribution
RevenueCat — purchase validation and entitlements
Backblaze B2 — delivery of wallpapers, stickers, GIFs, and sounds
Google Fonts — delivery of fonts used by this website
Service providers who host this website, if any logs are generated
Legal requirements if we are required to disclose information by law

We do not sell your personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

6. Data retention

On-device preferences remain until you clear app data, uninstall (subject to backup), or change them
Purchase records are retained by Google and RevenueCat under their policies for as long as needed for billing, restore, and compliance
Backblaze and the website host retain network/service logs under their applicable policies
Support emails are retained as long as reasonably necessary to resolve your request
Media and system sounds you save may remain in shared storage until you delete them

7. Children’s privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

8. International users

Google Play and RevenueCat may process data in the United States or other countries where they operate. By using the App, you understand that purchase-related data may be processed outside your country of residence subject to those providers’ safeguards.

You can clear App data or uninstall the App at any time
You can manage Google account backup settings on your device
You can manage or request purchase help through Google Play
You can revoke Notification access at any time in Android Settings
You can revoke Modify system settings access in Android Settings
You can delete downloaded wallpapers, stickers, GIFs, and sounds through Android

10. Access and deletion requests

You may email pjake6763@gmail.com to request access to or deletion of support correspondence or purchase-related records we can control. We may ask for information needed to locate and verify the request. Google Play, RevenueCat, and other providers may retain transaction, security, or legal records under their own obligations. Deleting local App data is available through Android Settings.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Effective date” at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the App after an update means you acknowledge the revised policy.
