Local TTS Terms of Use

These terms apply to the Local TTS Android app (package com.kaadan.localtts). By using the app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app. Contact us at pjake6763@gmail.com with questions.

Who may use Local TTS

Local TTS is intended for people aged 13 and older. If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, use the app with the permission of a parent or guardian where required by law. The app does not require a Local TTS account.

What the app does

Local TTS lets you import or create supported documents, read them, and generate speech on your device. Some features and voices depend on your device, the document format, and the language. Text extraction and pronunciation may be imperfect. Check important content against the original document; do not rely on generated speech for safety-critical, medical, legal, or financial decisions.

We may update the app, fix defects, or change available features. We will not intentionally take away paid access during an active subscription without providing the remedies required by applicable law.

Your documents

You keep ownership of documents and text you add. You must have the right to import, scan, reproduce, and listen to that content, and you must use the app lawfully. You are responsible for keeping backups of important documents. Removing the app or its data may remove locally stored documents and settings. Local TTS Pro subscriptions

The app may offer weekly, monthly, or yearly Local TTS Pro subscriptions through Google Play. The available plan, exact price in your currency, billing period, included benefits, and any eligible free trial or introductory offer are shown in the app and Google Play purchase flow before you confirm. A trial applies only if Google Play displays an eligible offer for your account; a trial is not guaranteed.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before renewal. If a trial is offered, it converts to the displayed paid plan at the end of the trial unless canceled beforehand. Google Play handles payment and renewal. Changes to prices or terms are handled with any notices or consent required by Google Play and applicable law.

You can manage or cancel a Google Play subscription in Google Play Subscriptions, including during a trial. Uninstalling Local TTS or deleting its data does not cancel a subscription. Cancellation usually stops future renewals and leaves paid access available until the current billing period ends, subject to Google Play policies and applicable law. Refunds are governed by Google Play's refund policy and applicable law. The app provides a Restore purchases action for the Google Play account used to purchase.

Free features remain usable without a Pro subscription unless clearly disclosed otherwise in the app. We do not charge you for merely opening the paywall.

Responsible use

Do not use the app to infringe another person's rights, violate the law, interfere with app security, or distribute malicious content. You may not reverse engineer the app except to the extent allowed by law or applicable open-source licenses. Third-party libraries and voice models retain their own licenses, which are identified in the app's open-source notices.

Availability and liability

We aim to keep Local TTS working, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted operation, perfect document extraction, or error-free speech. To the extent permitted by law, the app is provided without additional warranties, and we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from its use. Nothing in these terms limits rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded, including applicable consumer protection rights.

Changes and contact
